Our Vision and Mission
Our mission answers the question: “what ultimately are we to be doing, why do we exist?” Our mission communicates the great commission in language that fits our context and inspires our people. It is the flag that we fly, the common rallying point for our whole church, and what everything we do must ultimately be accomplishing.
Doxa Church exists to share the gospel and our lives for the glory of God and the good of Madison.
Gather, Give and Go describes how we will accomplish our mission and what commitment looks like at its broadest level in Doxa Church. We believe that committing to these three core rhythms for the long haul will yield gospel fruit in Madison. Everything we do as a church must fit within this simple strategy and we will equip and people and train leaders within our rhythms.

Gather
The church is a gathering, a people that God has reconciled to himself. God is glorified when we share his gospel with one another corporately and share our lives in connection groups throughout the week. We engage Madison with our mission as we invite them to gather with us. God is at the center of our gatherings and we pursue him through hearing, sharing, singing and praying his word.
Give
Sharing the gospel and our lives will require us to give generously of our time, talent and treasure. As family we will pursue a life of sacrifice and generosity with all that God has given us. We will love one another by giving of our time in service, our gifts in building up the church and our finances in supporting Gods work through us. Our generosity will not stop with us, but will spill out as a blessing into our community. Through our family, the families of Madison will be blessed.
Go
We are a family that doesn’t exist just for ourselves, but for the good of Madison. We will go with the gospel into our neighborhoods and workplaces and campus, to other college towns through church planting, and to the ends of the earth through overseas trips. Going is the regular rhythm of our life as a family and we will suffer many gospel goodbyes as we raise up men and women who are capable of extending the family to new places.
Our History
Having first been dreamt up in 2016, Doxa Church is a church plant several years in the making. After two years of being trained up at Cornerstone Church in Ames, Iowa, Doxa Church was sent out by the Salt Network and the North American mission board to Madison, Wisconsin and launched in the fall of 2018.
In the years since, God has done incredibly things in and around our church family. We purchased and moved into a building in 2020, sent out our first church plants to Ann Arbor, Michigan and Osaka, Japan in 2022. In 2025, Doxa will send out its second national church plant to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are eagerly looking ahead to where we might grow and send next.
The Salt Network
Doxa Church is a part of the Salt Network, a church network actively working toward planting new churches to impact communities across the Midwest and beyond. We believe that the church is God's means to make an impact on a community, and that the most powerful impact on a person's life is through a relationship with Jesus Christ in the context of a local church community. Partnering with The Salt Network and the North American Mission Board, we hope to see this happen in the state of Wisconsin.
